The process of aging is very complex. A variety of genetic and environmental factors are involved in this process. According to our updated knowledge, we can categorize it into two big categories. The one is Genetic Aging that is represented by telomere shortening which limits the number of cell division resulting the limitation of the replacement of damaged cells. The other is Metabolic Aging that is related with the cellular maintenance for the function of proteins and subcellular organelles, such as mitochondria and peroxisomes. We are interested in how living organism deals with constant damage on their protein and subcellular organelles, especially mitochondria
